Williams Hotels was formed by Don and John Williams in 1979 with the opening of the then Wandlyn Inn in Trenton, Ontario. The late Don Williams was a true Quinte Businessman with unique drive and spirit and an entrepreneur, having started hotels after 25 successful years with Stirling Motors, in Stirling, Ontario. Don’s vision for Williams Hotels to ‘take care of the customer’ was a number one mission statement that still rings true today.
John Williams, the current President, has been involved with the Bay of Quinte community in tremendous ways over the past 35 years, including currently as the Honorary Colonel of 8-Wing CFB Trenton and most recently as 8 years as the Mayor of Quinte West.
Williams Hotels currently owns the Best Western in Belleville, built by John and Don in 1987, the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott in Belleville, acquired in 2004, the Holiday Inn Express in Belleville, acquired in 2007 as a new build, and Williams Hotels just opened their 4th hotel, the Towneplace Inn and Suites by Marriott in Belleville. The Towneplace Suites, the 6th the company has opened since its inception, was built by John Williams, President, and his sons, Ryan and Brad Williams the Vice Presidents, and third generation hoteliers in the company’s history.
The company holds true the community values that has allowed the company to become successful over the past 36 years, and is tremendously fortunate to operate with a great group of staff in the Bay of Quinte Region.
We look forward to serving you, our customer, to make our hotels, your hotels.
